I was diagnosed with AFIB.
Would like to converse with others that are going through this as well. My AFIB is constant but stays under 100 bpm.
I have anxiety as well so this is a difficult time for me

I have AFIB, atrial flutter and SVT. If your heart rate is pretty steady at 100 bpm, that's a good thing. Are you taking any medication? What suggestions had your doctor given you for your anxiety? My heart rate last Friday was 197 for a couple of hours. I had a scheduled ablation the next day and had a loop monitor inserted that will stay in for 2 years. I honestly don't worry about it much, it's better to be diagnosed than wonder what is going on.

I’m currently taking 300 miligrams of metoporal. 220 milligrams of valsartin.
I have been taking setraline for the anxiety along with occasional Xanax. However I have been on meds for anxiety since my 20’s. I’m late 60’s now. My doctor added Pradaxa (blood thinner) I did fine for about 4 months then I began bleeding from bowel.
I did some reading about interactions with Pradaxa. Seems setraline can cause bleeding with Pradaxa. I stopped the Pradaxa and the bleeding stopped a few hours later. Doc wants me to stop sertraline and start Pradaxa again. Seems most of the anti anxiety and depression drugs have or can have the same effects. I have had a very severe case (if you will) of anxiety disorder so it’s hard for me to make the decision. Right now I’m looking to take the Pradaxa again with the sertraline. I’m just really at some loss as to how to handle.
The AFIB makes me very tired and my energy level is very low.

I take the blood thinner Eliquis twice a day. After having the ablation, I no longer take metropol. I'm sorry to hear that your medication interacts with anti-anxiety meds. Are they sure that the bleeding is not from the Pradaxa? Have you though about seeing an electrophsiologist? They specialize in the electrical issues of the heart.
