I had a stroke last Thursday. No TIA but a MRI confirmed stroke. It only lasted about ten minutes and only symptom was difficulty string words together in a sentence. I've been on 20 mg Xeralto for a few years after an episode of unprovoked blood clots in leg and lung. I've had low cholesterol and blood pressure and was compliant using meds. Docs will do more tests to see if I have some kind of blood condition they've overlooked, but they said this should not have happened. They are switching me over to coumadin and right now it looks like Xeralto failed. Docs said it has about a 2% failure rate. Anyone here have similar experience? A 2% failure rate doesn't seem trivial to me (1 out of 50 my calculation).
Thanks
