I am a 42 year old woman with a history of Hodgkins Disease (in remission for 23 years). I was just diagnosed with constrictive pericarditis caused by the radiation therapy I had for the Hodgkins. I am working with a cardiologist from Johns Hopkins (I live in Maryland) and wanted to see if anyone has any information about Pericardiectomies done at Hopkins.
Thanks,
Mary
Hi Mary, Welcome to Healing Well forum. We are happy to have you.
I am sorry about your diagnosis of pericarditis. I hope that someone can come along and answer your question shortly.
Hi...I don't know anything about Johns Hopkins other than it has a great reputation. I underwent a pericardiectomy a year ago if you need any info about the procedure. There is a lot of info on old threads here from patients. Let me know if I can help in any way! Good luck to you!
