Hi 👋 is there anybody out there (echo /tumbleweed) Fully appreciate the HW angels on here who might be able to help.
Have a PFO with long tunnel (so slightly awkward size and shape than usual and they had to puncture a hole in my heart for the 30mm Amplatzer closure device).
Two days after surgery I collapsed and nearly vomited when I got up in the morning. I had a migraine with aura the day I had the closure, not had one since however, my vision is still sparkly and sensitive to light.
I feel pretty awful and have been having continuous chest pains and getting very out of breath easily, which is not typical at all for me as I’m very fit and not at all over weight. Head is very woolly.
My leg also had some issues at the site where the catheter went in as the vein burst open after surgery. It looks awful and has a large hard lump under it.
I feel very weak and my vision is slightly blurry/ sensitive to light. My lower eyelids are pale and wonder if I’m perhaps anaemic as I’m prone to this due to extremely heavy periods.
I have found my urine to be quite dark unless I drink pints and pints of water and also had shooting pains in my bladder.
The main thing is I feel very poorly and exhausted and unable to do anything other than lie in bed and as a single parent, I need to get back to work as soon as possible! I don’t think the clopidogrel agrees with me much either, which isn’t helping matters. I think I have major anxiety too, due to the fact the top surgeon who specialises in this was off the day I got mine (typical!) and it was done by two other non-specialist dudes!! Anyone had similar? Thanks so much in advance xx
