My husband has AFIB, his cardiologist brought in a electrophysiologist to evaluate him. His symptoms was weakness, constant dizziness to the point of falling often. His AFIB had been overlooked by his prior cardiologist unfortunately. They tried medication initially which did not work, then they tried shocking the heart to get it back in rhythm which failed. He ended up with a pacemaker & that has helped him.
My only suggestion is get a 2nd opinion with another dr & depending on what the dr says it will help ease your mind. I've been under the care of cardiologist for over 40 years & some are good & others are better. You need to have a certain amount of trust & confidence in any dr that treats you.
Good luck.
