i am just wondering if pain in stomache is normal with pericarditis?

Hi coraleeanne

I am nearly 6 months post-op for calcified chronic constrictive pericarditis, & doing fine.
My symptoms initially led me me to be labeled as suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
The constrictive pericarditis was causing swelling of my GI tract leading to nausea & some mild pain in the upper abdomen.
GI symptoms are common in chronic pericarditis.
There is an extensive Pericarditis & Pericardiectomy forum which is worth a look.
