That's great news that they are going to use the "balloon" method.
Yes that is what I had done. I stayed awake for the whole thing. Went into the cath lab at 8am and came out around 2:30pm. I was very sedated so while it sounds like a long time I hardly remember it and slept a lot while they mapped the inside of my heart with the balloon.
The screens were all beside my head so I do remember watching them insert the balloon and into the chamber of the heart. Then it takes a while for a 3D like image to be created. Then is when they can see all at once all the points in your heart that are misfiring. It's an awesome procedure and the most up to date technology.
