Hello everyone -
I'm new to the forum and was wondering if anyone can tell me how much blood vessels dilate after you quit smoking? I recently quit and felt some pretty bad symptoms (pulses through my arms and legs). It got so bad that for two days I felt my heart, aorta and all the other blood vessels in my system pulsing.......it scared me so much that I went back to smoking. I'm afraid that I've constricted myself once again and haven't been able to get a good answer as far how healthy my blood vessels are.
I had an ultrasound and catscan that showed everything to be normal in size though I was smoking at the time and the doctor's knew it. They said everything was fine and not to worry about it however I'm still worried. I can feel myself pulsing and am afraid that I've constricted my vessels so much that if I quit, my vessels will dilate as huge ballons and burst.
Anybody have any information or experienced something similar? Who else can I contact about this sort of thing?
