My husband had a heart attack this past April. He left the hospital with 3 stents. After being out of work for a few weeks he finally returned only to find his office had been moved to a different
location and he would have to walk a couple of blocks from where he had to park his car. He soon discovered he would get severe leg cramps after walking the first block. His doctor took the blood pressure in his legs and decided he probably had clogged arteries in his leg just like his heart. When he went to have a stent put in his leg they found the blockage to be too severe in the leg that was giving him trouble and he needed a stent in the leg that never bothered him. He then needed bypass surgery in his worst leg. He got the surgery 2 days ago and was released from the hospital today. His leg is swollen twice its normal size and so are his penis and his testicles. Has anyone else had this surgery and these side effects. The doctor doesn't seem worried but my husband is pretty scared.

sorry i have no info for you, but that does sound pretty scary. i cannot beleive they did not tell you that the swelling would be a temporary side effect, what explanation did they give? so sorry you two have to suffer through this.

They gave no explanation at all, but thank goodness it is getting back to normal today.
