Hello all...I finally got my echocardiogram results. They did finally confirm that I have a small PFO. But, there was something else mentioned and I'm not sure what it means or how serious it is. Could someone help?? This is how the results read:
PULMUNARY VALVE, INFUND., P.A.
There is evidence of trace pulmonary insufficiency by color and spectral Doppler.
My question is...is this because of the PFO???
Then it also said...
INTERATRIAL SEPTUM, INTERVENTRICULAR SEPTUM
There is evidence of a small patent foramen ovale by agitated saline contrast upon release of Valsava maneuver. A few bubbles were noted to enter the left heart immediately after Valsalva release.
I get that part its the first one that I'm not sure what it means, or how serious it is..........can anyone help???
(ps, I understand your not doctors but any thoughts would be greatly appreciated)
