is angina hereditary?

Hi bolo, welcome to healing well forum, we are happy to have you join us here.  This is not a stupid question at all!  Actually, it is a very good question to ask and one that I dont know...I dont know much about angina as it isnt something that I have had to deal with.  Hopefully, a member will be able to come along and answer this for you.  If not I have a link here on it with some facts regarding angina, perhaps you will find your answer in there.

As for your blood pressure...Hypertension and cholesterol problems is infact hereditary and it is important to keep a close watch on these if you have a family history of problems.  There most likely isnt any way to know if you will get angina or not, I dont know if it is hereditary or not either.  I know that family history of heart dieases is and can be hereditary and those who have them should be most careful and keep a close eye on their diets and get screened for any problems.  I hope someone will come along and shed some light on this.

Hi bolo nice to have you here. Ive had angina for 5 years now. Angina isnt inherited because something has to cause the angina like with me it is a blocked artery that cant be fixed. As far as cholesterol,etc. yes it can definitely be inherited. I had a heart attack and quad bypass surgery at age 44 caused from hereditary factors. The best advice I can give you is to take good care of yourself, just like you have been doing and lower your risk for heart disease. I wish you all the best I hope this has helped you a little bit.
