I've had a history of anxiety/depression and panic attacks as well as asthma. I know all about
the symptoms these can produce. I also exercize alot and it seems that during exercize my heart tends to skip beats quite frequently especially upon deep breathing. every time i inhale all the way, my heart skips beats.
The other day suddenly during running, I had a strange, major flutter that lasted about 10-12 seconds one right after another after another, like my heart lost it's rhythm completely and found it again after about 10 seconds, it was very frightening, caused my chest to feel heavy, hurt, and caused my stomach to be upset, and caused my whole body to be weak and fall to the ground including my arms.
This luckilly went away completely, and I felt 100% better within 30 seconds, and afterwards I wasted NO time, rushed to the ER, took an EKG which showed up COMPLETELY normal.
Now I'm not sure WHY I keep getting these minor episodes, excluding this one time unfortunate incident, but I also noticed that when I'm under alot of stress or anxiety I tend to get hot flashes in my feet and up my leg.
I'm going to a cardiologist in two days and I hope I'll be okay.
Does this all sound like heart disease or maybe early warnings of possible trouble ahead, or maybe can it be something else, or what not?
Can a prolonged pulmonary infection or asthma problems or whatever lead to cardiac problems as well??
IT could be many things, but the EKG was completely normal, so I'm not sure what to think.
My mother has mitral valve prolapse.
I apparently don't and I'm fine.
Wasn't born with anything.
What do I do?
Help me out! thanks
All I know is I obviously won't exercize until that.
Possible factors may include: my history with anxiety, and I'm a type-A on the go, easily stressed person who gets symptoms of stress, I may be over doing things. I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs, and I eat very healthy and exercize regularly. However often during exercize is when my heart tends to skip beats.
OR when I'm laying down completely flat on the floor or a bed.
I really don't know what else.
