Hi Hoosier, Actually we have a bit in common I have Sick Sinus Syndrome & Bradycardia for which I had to get a dual lead pacemaker in September 2005. I am now 34 yrs old. My Cardiologist is completely wonderful and one whom I trust greatly...my mother has seen his partner for years but, when I became sick and was in the hospital we did seek a second opinion. My cardiologist encouraged this really as he didnt want me to later have doubts about it, I guess because I was so young...I dont know.
In my view you should seek second and even third opinions if you have doubts since this is your health, body and your the one who has to live with what the out come may be. You need to be the one to come to terms with your decisions and know you have made an informed one, so if you only have one educated opinion on what to do then it may not always be the best one to make. If that makes any sense.
