Hi All,
I am new here and wanted an opinion on what is going on with me before I see a physician. I am a 23 year old male, non-smoker. I just finished playing college basketball and have been in very good health my whole life. I have been working out lightly for the past 6 mo. after college but not much. I dont eat great but have been better lately. I recently was in california with my brother and went out drinking pretty heavy for 3 days straight. On the last day I ate some incredibly hot, hot sauce which made me hiccup quite violently and then went out to drink again. I woke up at about 3am with a sharp pain in the middle of my chest but it went away after about 5 seconds. No pain the next day at all but woke up the following night laying on my right side with a pain in the middle of my right ribs that went away after a couple seconds. Since then I have had little small pains in the left, right, and middle of my chest, around the endings of my ribs and some pains in my abdomen. The pains are not sharp but merely a mild discomfort. I have had no other symptoms and have been sleeping perfectly fine. I would say these pains happen from 5-15 times throughout the day while awake and doing all my regular activity. They last about 1 second and do not worsen with breathing or movement. This has been going on for 3 weeks today.
Side Note, my brother came down sick with a virus 5 days after my first pain that eventually attacked the right side of his heart. He is on heart medicine and fine now but I did not know if maybe I caught the same virus just not as bad. Although I have been in perfect health not sick at all.
Any opinions on what is going on would be greatly appreciated before I see a physician. Thanks in advance.
Jason
