New with Pericarditis-Will it ever go away?

Hello,

I have been battling pericarditis for about 3months-does it ever go away?

I am a 32 year old healthy female. In August i started getting the severe chest pain when i was taking a deep breath or leaning over:(very scary+plus I have an anxiety problem to top it all off! So i was just looking for advice on what Nsaids you guys get the best results with- I do not have that intense sharp pain when i breath or lean over any more or the palpitations, just some small aches once in a while-actually this week I feel great-knock on wood. I was just wondering if you guys have any advice for me! Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Colleen

I just saw this post and wanted to say that I have also suffered from pericarditis. Do you know what brought it on? What other illnesses do yuo suffer from? I got my pericarditis from post traumatic stress, but I think it is also can be a result of R/A
They put me on high doses of prednisone to get rid of the percarditis, however, every time I try to get off the pred, the pericarditis returns, so now the doc has me on methotrexate to prevent the pericarditis, and to help get me off the prednisone
