I am exhausted fed up and have worsening Reflux symptoms. At 36 yrs old I hate to keep taking this Nexuim. I was diagnosed at 29.
-> My biggest frustration is a soar throat every morning. I do get bad heartburn 2 or 3 times a week (used to be 2 or 3 times a month) My bed is raised up 5 to 6 inches but does not stop my soar throat. My Sphincter pressure is 4.4mmHg, which I think is 55% to 65% of normal. The doc (edg specialist not surgeon) says there is no guarantee of stopping the soar throat at night if I get the Nissen. I have spent a lot of time looking at that and the Hill procedure. Tough call.
=> HAS ANYONE HAD EITHER OF THESE SURGERIES AND HAD THEIR SOAR THROAT STOP WHILE SLEEPING ON A FLAT or NON ELEVATED BED?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
