Is there a possible interaction between PPI and oral contraceptives? The pharmacist tell me there is not but since I am taking 60 mg of prevacid daily (the usual dose is 30mg) I am really wondering if my oral contraceptives can be absorbed.

Trust your pharmacist. Everything I found supported their statement that Prevacid would not affect absorption of an oral contraceptive - it might speed it up, but it would not prevent absorption.

As far as I know, there is no interference with absorption. I have to ask about
it during my next trip to the gastro. doc, but I do recall a previous discussion about
some oral contraceptives aggravating the reflux problem.
