Hi all,
New to the board but have been viewing extremely helpful posts during the last couple of weeks...
A bit of history, male in late forties, suffered from GERD for years. I am not an extreme case but do have Barretts, Nexium 40mg per day. Several foods triggered worse than others.
I had the Nissan about four weeks ago. My recovery has by and large been ok. I had the shoulder pain for a few days but no real issues below. For the first couple of weeks stuck to the soups/ puddings. I tried the odd piece of chicken and fish, chewed it well and have not had any issue with things sticking.
My temptation is to go back to the three meals a day. This was bad in two ways. One night really knew I had eaten too much, it even included pastry. I had indigestion driving me up the wall. The other way is leaving too long between eating something. This causes the stomach to be empty and I was getting really bad stomach pains.
My issue is, I have found the things that used to upset me e.g. coffee still do. People I have spoken to including my doctor assure me that this will be fine in time. I guess I just have to be patient. Anybody else have this issue?
It's nice to be on here ....VIEW IMAGE
