I just went to my appointment with my gastroenterologist to find out all the latest on my acidic issues.
Well, it seems that the BRAVO didn't work!!!!!!!
Now, why didn't they tell me sooner? (The test was over two weeks ago.) Now, they want to repeat it. I had the Bravo capsule put in without any sedative; I just gagged it down. It appears that the darned thing fell off without getting attached at all. There was a nice pH of about 1 for about 1.5 hours then it goes up to a pH of about 3 and stayed there. I guess I don't have much acid in my bowels.
So, now, the doctor is going to repeat it. I don't want them implanting it without sedation again. Also, will the insurance pay for it again??? I'd think since my doc is a partner in the clinic that did the Bravo that maybe the second one should be free.
I just want to get this over with; so I can get the Nissen and stop having all these throat, voice, chest pain issues and burning. I have to go off all the meds again for 7-10 days, YUCK!
Thanks for letting me vent.
