Good Morning All,
Bill............drink that water, drink that gatorade. We do not want you to get dehydrated.
Signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion often begin suddenly, sometimes after excessive exercise, heavy perspiration and inadequate fluid intake.
Symptoms may include some of the following:
Feeling faint or dizzy
Nausea
Heavy sweating
Rapid, weak heartbeat
Low blood pressure
Cool, moist, pale skin
Low-grade fever
Heat cramps
Headache
Fatigue
Dark-colored urine
If you suspect heat exhaustion:
Get out of the sun and into a shady or air-conditioned location.
Lay down and elevate the legs and feet slightly.
Loosen or remove the clothing.
Drink cool water.
Cool by spraying or sponging with cool water and fanning.
I agree with your physician's advice, use your pain patch for a while until you are sure you can go without it and perhaps take one with you if you choose not to wear it so you have the option of putting it on when away from home.
OK, nurse Kitt off soapbox.
Glad to hear you are doing well Bill, it makes me smile.
Barb,
My daughter has always been a dog person ever since she was little and we always gave in when she wanted one. We let her have a horse too for a while and that scared me to death. She is a petite 5'2" and of course had to have a big quarter horse. They fell once in the snow and I nearly had a heart attack.
I will post a picture of our 2 Dobies that are now on Rainbow Bridge.
Glad the party went so well. How sweet you are to have it at your home but your right, the house can always be cleaned up again. :)
Denise,
I feel guilty for being out of school for so long and your still working. I would help you if I could.
Janice,
Wow, what a great weekend...........your hubby sounds like a really nice person. I love the Great Lakes and wish I was closer. It is a 3 hour drive for us to get to Lake Superior.
Bea,
Good Morning to you too......................hope your day is fun.
Hugs to everyone here in this thread.
