48 hr Bravo test starts now

I just got home from the surgeon putting in the Bravo probe about a hour ago. It all went fine and I the last thing I remeber was the surgeon telling the nurse to give me 3 of versd and 50 of fentenaly. I woke up just fine and no prlobems yet. I cannot feel anything in my throught. I just ate 1/2 pizza and if I do not chew it up all the way I feel a slight discomfert when it goes down. If I chew it all I cannot feel anything different. So now I run the test until Wednesday early AM then I turn the box in. I think this is much better and eaiser then the 24 HR PH test was. That was not bad but this is much eaiser. Drinking liquid seems to be no problem as I can feel no difference then usual.

The last thing I remembered was saying "around and around she goes and where she stops nobody knows". Just as my eyes closed I heard him say that's what's supposed to happen. Then the nurse said open your mouth and I felt something go in to prop open my mouth. The next thing I knew my parents were shaking me telling me I need to wake up. I had a oxygen tube on my nose and foggy as all get out. My mom said I had woke up when I came back to the room and told the nurse I wanted a dr. pepper to drink. I couldn't remember doing it, but the nurse came in at that time carrying a dr. pepper for me. blush

The next test will probably be the momoetry test. EEK! shocked smhair (You can read my thread about what goes on there..... I found an Experienced Esophyx Doctor.....)

You where right about this test being easy. This is the last test for me. I have done 2 EGD's, a food empty study, a 24 hr ph test and the swallowing test. The lap nissian is set up for Thursday am depending on what the surgeon see's here. At this time I am melting in the heat here. I live in Wa. state where it rains all the time. And now the temp. has been in the high 90's and will continue until this weekend. I have lived here all my life and finally broken down and bought a A/C for the bedroom. My wife is sleepy good but I am baking in the living room.

Lucky you. No momoetry test! I envy you! Sorry it's so warm there. I live in Georgia and it's been so mild here that I can wear jeans and not sweat. Weird weather, huh?

I did the bravo test without any issues. It was that manometry that I couldnt do becuz I have seizures. When they attempted to stick the tube in my nose i had an aura .had to stop!! good luck
