Several years ago, my MD recommended aloe vera juice for my GERD symptoms. He stressed it should be cold pressed (or processed). I did use it whenever GERD would flare up (once or twice a year) and it seemed to really help. A couple weeks ago, though, I went to buy some aloe vera juice and found the George's brand which actually tastes just like water, amazingly. I don't really think it's helped that much though. It says that potentially harmful ingredients that are generally in aloe vera juice have been extracted out.
My question is - of those of you who use aloe vera juice for GERD, do you find there is any problem with just using the cold processed type? I felt that it was fine for me, even though I was never totally crazy about the taste. I see that Walmart pharmacy has some cold processed aloe vera juice I'm thinking of trying. Wondering if it's any good.
Thanks for any advice, Betsy
