Thanks Chris!
I have been skimming over the old posts and noticed your post about exercise. Before surgery I was a runner and I enjoy yoga, pilates, free weights, etc. The surgeon says I can get back to running in about a month. But what do you think about strength training? I am paranoid that it will wreck the surgery. I am even a bit nervous about running again. I have been getting on the treadmill and elliptical at a very slow pace just to get my body moving again.

Marie, Lisa, and everyone else...
Marie...thanks for the wishes...Lisa glad you're feeling better and yes...slow is the key...just be patient with the process, as hard as that can be.
I saw my doc again today, and I'm scheduled for another endoscopy in a few weeks to have things checked out. Gastritis, Celiac, he said there could be a number of reasons for my discomfort...plus he wants to take a look at his work rather than have my local doc do the procedure.
Hopes are high that I'll find something out. I have been keeping a food log to see if certain foods are bothering me. I've found that I'm now VERY lactose intolerant...not sure if it is the surgery or just bad timing, but it has helped with my bad gas issues.
Sorry I don't post here as much as I used to...but I still wish everyone the best and speedy healing if they are going through their surgery.
Take care,
Chris
