sry to everyone i haven't been around at all.. it's been one bad thing after another and ive had sum complications...
between my health issues.. my niece (1 1/2) health issues... my friend comitting suicide.. family issues, work laying off many people... my doctor having problems, and state and my work trying to screw up my paper work i have been too down and out to post.. im sry.. ill come back when i get a chance i miss u all and wish the best from joy to raph to bill to kitt, etc.

Griff, sorry to hear it has been so cray for you lately. Hopefully things will get better as the holidays approach. Try and stay positive. Sometimes its the only thing we have left.

i finally got a chance to spend time on my computer and i felt i should leave a note on here..
things have been murkey as after having significant throat issues my gi doc said i was nuts and the second one claimed it has nothing to do with reflux.. even my doc blew me off.. not fun.. so i saw a new doc who put me back on nexium 20 mg to test the waters...
my hands shoulder and elbow pains etc.. well they dont even bother to deal with until it beccomes serious... i go back to work tomorrow and im afraid ill have to quit work, take out student loans to pay for all my school and medical... i just wish all this s**t would end..:(
so this is the first week bk on nexium and im 9 weeks+ post nissen... im back to refluxing thru day... and today most of my left arm is numb... i swear these pills make me way worse now than how i was.. i don't know what to do honestly.. i won't be on much cause dealing with family issues and the holidays which haven't been good so far. I tried contactin the surgeon but he continues to ignore me.. so.. im going to see my doctor on tuesday and see if maybe he can help me with anything because i can't go on living like this. I iwsh everyone the best always and thanks for always being here to listen i miss u all greatly!

I am so sorry to hear you are having so much difficulty and I hope you can soon get a Doctor that will be proactive and get the problems figured out.

You know we are here for you so hang in there and the holiday season can be stressful for many.  I have cut way back on doing what people expect me to do and now I do what makes me happy.

The bakery sure does make nice cookie trays and I have time to just be with my family.

Griff, sorry to hear that the surgery doesn't seem to be working for you. I wish every one had the same results that I have had. It has been slow but sure.

Your not that far from L.A so if I were you, I would try and see my Surgeon. He fixes other peoples botched Nissen surgeries, if that is your case. His name is Dr. Katkhouda and is affiliated with USC medical center. Just google him and you will surely find him.

Man I am sorry you are having such a rough time. I have dealt with the doctors who think you are nuts or making things up just because they can't figure out what is wrong. I hate that. I don't understand why the surgeon keeps ignoring you. Unless this is not something new to him. The shoulder and arm pains very well can be from the acid. It happened to me a couple months ago. Horrible pain too. finally tried my prevacid again and it went away. Now I am on Prilosec once a day and it is working for me. I never got much relief from Nexium for some reason.

hello everyone.. again sry i have little time for replies.. i may be goin out on stress leave at work.. i just go gtransfered to ramona whichc is an hour drive there and back most likely.. sigh.. it happened out of the blue.. so now i gotta deal with that.. my first week bk to work.. its rough.. minor heartburn thru out day.. im bk on the nexium and now again i feel worse than before.. i hav to change gi docs again.. the one i just saw told me im nuts and its all in my head sigh..
i dont get it.. my burping (yes ive been able to burp tons since the surgery.. it's gone down a lil since the nexium).. so takin 20mg nexium a day in the morning.. i still get minor heartbrun.. i dont eat any chocolate, rarely drink, no caffine no carbonated beverages.. and still i heartburn..even after surgery! i dont understand it at all...
today i tried a lil milk (been drinking soy milk) and my stomach burned... today's been a horrible relfux day.. last night i had to chug a ton fo maalox to sleep cause as soon as i laid down boom so much pain.. i can still taste acid in the bk of my throat..
it was a loose wrap but obviously i dont know if the surgery has done anything.. except now when i burp i dont have actual food come up.. its just spit/phlem...
sigh im gonna try a different gi doc this week i hope on wed.. add that to family problems and not being able to even live outside of work and than home... i helped my aunt make white chocolate turtles (so yummy!) and i cant even have any cause im afraid to.. my back tonight is giving me shooting pains... and i think its the nexium.. i don't know what i'm going to do...i really don't know.. i met this great girl and i can't even go out with her til i get this cleared up:(
im tryin to stay positive i really am.. but not really not helping much... especially with this last min transfer...
sigh im wishing everyone well i miss u all greatly..

I'm getting the herd up for you, Griff. Just give the word and we'll come there and stomp all over those doctors! Obviously, it's not all in your head... I hope you can get it through their hard heads that you need help.

Griff mate what really peeeeeeeves me off is these surgeons are so quick to want to perform a nissen but as soon as there are probs they duck for cover as yours has.Mine was the same I knew mine had failed at 2 weeks and went back to my surg to be told stay on the mental health pills you dont need zantac!!!!!! oh and i cant do any tests for you as that would cost money!!! a(after 12k on op).makes ya blood boil.I hope and pray Griff you find a kind honest good man to help sort you out.Im shouting for ya all the way from nz
