Well, the big day is fast approaching.
Needless to say my nerves are flaring at times, but I think I'm handling it fairly well. My parents act like this is no big deal. I think their trying to keep me leveled headed.
I'm trying my best to relax and stay in the now.
I've got my bags mostly packed to leave on Monday. I have a large selection of liquids to take along with me for eating on the trip coming home. Juices, puddings, yogurts, and broth to have went I get home. I even bought some baby food.
I got a pair of sweat pants to wear home until the swelling and tenderness goes down. No jeans until the stitches heal. I hope my boss understands about
them.
I have to hurry to be there before 1:00 Monday for my pre-op tests. We're leaving a 7:00am Monday morning. The drive is long and murderous. We will have to grab a bite on the road in order to get there on time. I just hope I don't get prodded too much.
The unknown has always caused me to fret. So I'm always trying to be well informed about
things. I think this is why I'm approaching this surgery with so many questions.
I'll be on tomorrow and then out of touch until Friday if all goes well.
Wish me luck and pray for me!
Hugs and kisses to my GERD friends.
