Needing some help.

Hi, I am new to the site but I have come here to try and get some answers.

about one year ago I came down with a case of severe heartburn. I had slight cases before that, that went away.  I went to my doctor and he put me on Nexium and it did not even touch the pain. He then sent to have the scope done.

The results of the scope was I had inflammation in the esophagus, gastrities in the stomach and inflammation in the upper part of the small intestine.  I was then statred on Kapidex, librax and Carafate suspension. 

The pain I have is right below the breastbone and under the right rib cage that radiates to my back. All gallblader test have come back ok along with a battery of other test on my intestines, a ct scan of my chest, and test on my heart. 

I have been on all three medications now for over six months and it only knocks the pain down to a dull sensation.

My doctor has told me to take a vacation and that is it. Does anybody have the same type of problems and where do you go from here.

i too have the pressure under the breast bone and when that hits i usualy feel the acid or phlem in my throat - not so much in the chest - my endo was really good my esophogus has healed nicely and nothing abnormal (from what they can see) next week i'll be getting answers from the biopsy that they took - i find that i get this pain when im asleep (even tho im elevated) - i find that (besides drinking some water) if i lay on my left side and put a small pillow btwn *the girls* it helps to relax a little

im at a loss until i talk to my GI and reg PCP again - but i hope that helped a little
