I was scheduled to see a GI doctor at Kaiser who has been there since 1977 but now he is not available this Friday. They said I can see him next Friday and instead offered an appointment this Friday with someone who has been with Kaiser since last year. From this doctor's page she looks very impressive. Schooling at Dartmouth, residency at Tufts where she was Chief Resident and a fellowship at Yale. And sometimes a "younger" doctor might be more open to being "helpful" and up on the latest procedures, although that hasn't always been my experience at Kaiser. I can probably wait a week to see the "old timer" but wanted to see what folks here think. As my GERD or whatever it is has become a real issue these past two months I want to get this taken care of but also want to give myself the best opportunity for a successful outcome. Though I realize a good part of that is how much I push and advocate for myself.
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
