Hi Moo'sMum (great screen name too!),
I am glad that they found the source of your problems. I hope you are feeling better. My mom had her gallbladder out because of gallstones and gallbladder attacks. That was actually what I thought my problem was too but then they did a CT scan of my chest and abdomen and said everything was fine just a hiatal hernia. I have tried every PPI: aciphex, kapidex, nexium, prevacid, prilosec and even the H2 blockers: zantac etc. The only PPI that has had somewhat of a benefit is Protonix. But even on that I still have burning pain. That is why my GI wants to do the Bravo test. To see if I have bile reflux, non acid reflux, or to determine how bad my acid reflux is. My question is: Have I given this enough time? I have been treated since Dec 09 and am feeling some relief from Protonix. I am scared about
the Bravo test and feeling the capsule. I read horror stories. Do I just go ahead with it or wait a little longer and see how the Protonix works?
Thanks
