I just saw my surgeon and forgot to ask when I can start working out again... (bummer!) Does anyone know when it would be safe to start my regular workout again? I used to do weights and some cardio but I haven't been able since the heartburn came back in full. Obviously I'll take it slow since my muscles aren't used to it anymore but when can I start back up again?

Walking should be fine now. Stay under 2 miles an hour for now. You probably be able to do 5lb weights by now for arm curls.
Around six weeks I could carry two grocery bags of goods with just a slight tugging feel. I feel they weighed around 20 together. I increased the weight by 5lbs each week.

I am 15 days post op and my doc said no restrictions.  stop if it hurts.  i actually posted a question about sex and people have looked but not commented.  not to be personal but i have went ahead with the personal business at home and felt no pain.  he also told me that i could ride a bike and do whatever,  i agree with joy if it doesnt hurt then try it

I'm going to do the exercise bike and treadmill at the gym and will ask about the upper body equipment - it's just a bit dangerous to walk in our neighborhood and the gym membership is expensive so hate to waste it - will ask all these questions today. I also commented on your "other" question as that was my question also and will also ask that question today.
