Hi, it has been some time since I have been on this site. Had my wrap in Oct 08.
And I was one of the lucky ones. But my sympton was a cough. So there wasn't a lot of damage done. I can eat anything now, but was able to eat most things a couple of weeks out of surgery. No acid food for awhile and for about 4 months no steak, bread or carbinated drinks.
As with most coughs it usually is from different sorces. My cough is much much better. However, I did allergy testing and yeah!!! dust mites, weeds and mold are my worse ones. I am taking allergy shots and am really glad because it is the worst season now. Still coughing but not near as much. The allergy doc said it should get better in the year after I started maintance so hopefully it will get even better. She said I will probably always cough as I had it for 10 years. That I had terrible gerd plus allergies and some of it is probably habit now.
Good luck to you all and I will keep watching the posts.
Know that if your gerd was severe it will take time to heal. And as said earlier, eat small meals and chew chew chew.
