They say i have acid reflux but it is not so much of to much acid or to little acid. My stress level hit the fan after my endonoscopy Friday and Colonoscopy and I spent 2 days in the hospital. My gases wouldnt move, I was in pain and I got anxious and upset with everything and everyone. It was my first colon scope and second endo. I feel like a puppet. They found gastritis and esophagitis (whats new) and a small amount of muscoal lining missing in the esophagus also they removed a nodule...that was noth there in the first scope. After reading all the acid medicine can cause benign nodules. My colon is fine. When I take prilosec, aciphex or any of the acid medicine...I feel chills, anxiety, back pain, hot flashes, sore throat and stomach pain. Is this normal? They make me feel worse. I eat a very blan diet, really soft food. I added some natural things to my diet for healing. They have me on an antidepressent, that I am scared to take...but I dont know what else to do. I cant get my mind to shut off...When I get mad or sad...I usually my symptoms worse. They say there is more serotonin in your stomach than your brain and they think if they can get the serotonin balanced in my stomach and get it calmed down maybe my symptoms will go away. I am afraid the antidepressent medicine will worsen the gastritis and esophagitis. I have started breathing exercises, and my hubby started some massage. I feel like I am back to square one with healing. They now want me to swallow a camera and look at my small bowel. I have to prep kinda like a colonoscopy. That just irritates me more. I just want to heal and feel better. I know its not a quick fix but I just want to get through the day without so much pain. Any thoughts, advice, or similar experiences would be great.
