I am new to this, so I am sorry if I am asking the same questions. I have recently been diagnosed with spasms in my esophagus and my duodenum. I have been to the ER numerous times for what I think is cardiac, but after Echo's, bloodwork, EKG's etc etc, all the docs have said it is not cardiac, but gastric. One question I have for you all is ....you all talk about
experiencing "pain" when you have the spasm. The way I would describe mine is like a deep fluttering or like the deep feeling when you are about
to burp, so almost like an internal burp. Is this the same or should I keep searching for another doctor that will give me a better answer? The feeling scares the crap out of me. I try to remind myself that all the docs have said it is nothing, but that is easier to say when you aren't having a spasm. Mine seem to occur the most if I lay down or last night, I bent over to grab something and when I stood back up I got the "flutters" and then heart burn. My doc has prescribed librax and I have been on dexilant for a few months.
Any reassurance/feedback would be so appreciated! Thank you!
