More tests. kitt. Isn't it always?
I see the rhumy he set me up with in a month to have the testing done. I wish he could see me sooner, but he's only in his satillite office on Wednesdays in the closest town to me. :(
I think I'm getting used to feeling like I've sprained my joints. Sometimes it hurts to move them, but then it dulls down some. Now to get through the waiting to see this guy.
Tylenol bottle, we're going to be best friends. :S

Denise,  I am on a bit of a merry-go-round but most days are good and I try to keep positive.  I will be leaving on Sunday, the 10th, for week in Reno with my daughter and grandaughters.  It is the Boston Terrier National Dog show.  Following the 2 plane emergencies we have had in the past days makes me worried about bad things happen in 3s. 

I have never been afraid of flying, just of falling out of the sky !  We will be flying USAIRWAYS. 

Bill,  How you feeling ?  Any flood issues down your way?  We have been spared the big predictions.

Janice,  Hope you are feeling well and that your are healing.  I think of all of you often.

Hey, as long as there are ups, that's all that counts. If the ups outnumber the downs, that's even better! I'm so glad that you're going to be with your daughter and granddaughters! It will be wonderful to spend time with them, and be a part of their dog show experience! Are they showing their dogs there?

I don't have any experience showing dogs, but when I was a teenager, I had a horse which I trained and showed, so I do know a bit about what it's like to prepare and groom for a show. When I showed my horse one class was very similar to dog shows--walking and trotting her for the judge, posing her in a stretched position, etc. The judge would check for confirmation faults and look for breed characteristics (she was a Morgan horse). Anyway, your dog show just made me think of that.

As far as flying, take a lesson from my older son...when things happen before he's going to fly (he also has fear of falling out of the sky) he figures he's that much safer, because the odds of it happening again right away isn't that good. Also, they're being that much more careful!

Have a wonderful time! Just keep staying in the positive...an attitude of gratitude!

It will be good when you get to your rheumy doc and get some answers to those questions. Sorry to hear your hands are hurting. FYI I had a 95 year old piano teachers with extremely arthritic hands, and her doctor told her that if it weren't for playing piano, her hands would be useless. Maybe the typing is good for those hands, even though it bothers them. Just a thought!

I hope things are going well in school! You're counting down toward summer, aren't you!

Denise, we have 30 school days left. I put up my count down dial today. Hands are doing okay right now, pains very low.

We started the first week in August last year and this year will be last week of July. The nice thing is we get at least a one day break every month. :)
I love this! Without at least a days break every month the children and the teachers get crabby.

Thanksgiving & Spring Break we get a full week off. Sometimes we even get three days in a month. This month the kids get two days off and we get one day off. Would of been longer but they took one of our days for a snow day.

With the CRCT next week I need 19 of me. :S I get so stressed out.

Kitt hope your trip is awesome!
I have been having bad issues controling the pain of these tubes. My body really hates things like that. A steady schedule of ovycodone, tylenol, and ibuprophen is the only way to function right now. I have made it to a few softball games, but the cold and wind really set me back 2 to 3 days each time I go.
I see the surgeon Monday and have another barium swallow test Tuesday to see if the leak has stopped. If not it's another month of the stent and tubes. i am praying so hard it has sealed. I am really at my wits end not eating and such. also with the thought of the big surgery still possibility. every where I go this darn pump has to go, have to keep filling and cleaning bags and hoses. Not the way I thought I would be spending my spring.

I can just imagine how you're struggling with those tubes. They've got to get really irritated by your clothes as well. I'm sure not eating real food gets old really quickly. Here's hoping things have healed. I hope your appointment with the surgeon goes very well, and you pass your Barium Swallow with flying colors.
Wish there was something we could do to help. All we can do is send you our healing thoughts and prayers!

I'm glad you're feeling better.

Except for my feet most of my pains have dulled down to almost nothing. My feet are very swollen and tender.

Oh how I feel for you with swollen feet. My legs and feet swelled so bad while in the hospital. I gained 20lbs from edema in 3 days. The skin on my feet split and after the swelling was down they peeled and itched so bad. Actually I am still peeling some after showers, then they itched for hours. Hang in there!

Joy, have you ever tried Carafate Suspension? Whenever I have an irritated wrap/stomach, I use it for a few days, and what a difference it makes.
Just a thought. Glad to hear you got a foot spa...what a great idea!

You mean Dr. John Vito Bagnato? At Palymera Hospital in Albany, Ga?
You can ask me here.
I think he's an excellent surgeon. And the hospital was wonderful and caring.
He'll want to see all testing results you've had and do his own EGD. He may do other testing if needed.
You'll fill out a mountain of paperwork. First you'll talk to his nurse then him. He's very down to earth and easy to understand. If he offers the "modified Hill wrap" he does -go for it. I've been very happy with mine.
He also is very careful about draining the excess gas off so you don't suffer with the gas pains some people suffer from after the surgery.
