Hi Kitt,Sorry I haven't been around much...I'm in the midst of helping my son put together a "cookbook" written by his kids...it requires interviewing them, then lots of typing. Each child tells how his/her mother makes some special meal or dessert in their own words. It's so cute. Then it has an "about
the Author" section telling what they like to do at home and in school. It has a picture that child, and also tells why they think their mother is special. I have to get it all typed and formatted in time for next week, so when I go in I can bind them into books. It's a mountain of typing, and I just finished it.
On top of that...we babysit our little grandson all day on Wednesday and Friday. I should be in bed right now, as he gets dropped off by 7 tomorrow! Anyway, enough excuses...
I'm glad you saw your P-doc. I'm sure that the meds can be terrible, but no doubt he/she is trying to help you kick the clouds away, and thinks that a little more of a bad thing will do the trick. I hope the side effects don't create more problems for you. If they do, then just trot yourself back. I'm glad you've got appointments to see the therapist. It's a one-two punch for what ails you.
Hey, I can hear a therapist asking that question. Once, when my husband was in therapy for depression (he lost 60 pounds and was pretty much bed-ridden) his therapist said that he quit coming because he thought they were getting to close to the problem. I think the question wasn't so much resentful as typical psychological questioning technique. They do have their ways, don't they?
I know this is incredibly frustrating for you. It is exhausting, I'm sure. I'm glad you're putting one foot in front of the other and trying to get into a normal routine...getting on the computer for a while to visit with us and help others. You know we'll take care of things for you, but if you can possibly push yourself back into the swing of things, you may be helping to push away the clouds and move toward that rainbow and sunlight. Just act "as if" you're feeling okay. I know it's easier said than done. You do know we're in your corner, and pulling for you!
Bill,Glad to hear you got some rest and are no worse for the wear after your marathon mechanic binge! Have fun with softball, and keep healing!
Joy,I'm just thankful to hear that you weren't in the path of one of those tornadoes! What a scary day it was yesterday! We had a tornado watch as well...and have had a record-breaking amount of rain in April.
I'm sorry to hear that you're having hand pain. I have arthritis in my thumbs and they've been very painful the past couple of days. Do you think it's the weather?
Feel better!
Hi Janice,I'm thinking of you, and hope you're fighting the infections and feeling better!
I'll do my best to get on and help out tomorrow, but if my little guy doesn't nap much, I'm not sure how much I'll be able to do! I'll try, though!
Take care, everyone!
