the really interesting stuff is around half way down...the beginning of the report is a re hash of stuff most here already know

the article cites number of procedures done in italy all at a hospital in milan an indicates prices for the device 3000 euros, a measuring tool 100 euros and the procedure estimated to cost less than or as much as fodoplication but not more

Really good study...

I am trying the natural way for now....but things don't workout in the next few years this is something I will be interested in. Thanks Mockturtle....How long will it take for the FDA to approve it though? The EU are always ahead for some reason.

Great information!

On this forum there have been doubts about LINX device and MRI scans. Im interested in this device but I might need future MRI scans and as I read on this document, somebody had it taken out becuase they had to get MRI studies.
I cant remember who, but someone that was going to have the LINX device on this forum asked the surgeon if LINX was OK with MRI scans and he told her yes...but now this document says that someone had it out becuase of the need of a MRI scans, this is confusing.

Does anyone have information or studies about LINX and MRI?

Jeronimo do you reside in the States?

I can see why this would interefere with an MRI, but they said it can easily be taken off, the procedure is like 15 min based on the study....

It is not easy as it sounds. The linx procedure is a surgery, i have read they make 4 holes in the stomach. Its smaller than other surgeries, but it is still a surgery !!

Nickles, I live in Spain.

Im worried because its not like I can take it off and have it put in everytime I need an MRI, as Raj2011 says, it is a surgery...every surgery has its risks even if they are minimal.

PD: Do you guys see this topic more wider than others or is it just me?

Regarding the FDA approval, it will be based upon the results of the trial. I have heard that if the trial results are good, the approval can come, starting in the next few months to next 3 years. But it all depends on the clinical results. But i think we will hear some news about the results this year for sure.

me too cause i been going without meds due to side effects and cant wait all that long

so its either fondoplication, or fda linx approval in the next year or so

or maybe im taking a trip to the european union
