Has anyone tried Dexilant?

My doctor gave me a prescription for Dexilant. I have yet to have it filled because I hear it is quite expensive. I have good insurance and when my doctor started looking around for a coupon for me to use I knew I was in trouble as far as price is concerned. I will get it if it works well but I really don't want to spend the extra money if it is only going to work for a month and then stop working like all of the other meds I have tried.

It sounds like a good med. It wouldn't hurt to try it out for a month. I went to it's website and saw some coupon offers there. It can help you there with the expense.

I use it. For the most part it does work quite well but doesn't stop occasional break through reflux

It is unbelievable how something seems to work so well for about a month, I get all happy and think I am good again only to wake up one morning feeling oh so terrible again!!

Dexilant is offering a "dexilant program" right now. The doctor gave me a coupon card and I had to call them and activate it. Onc eyou do that it is free up to $55. It was supposed to cost me $35 but it was free. As far as I know while on the program it will be free.

I wonder how well it works though. I just hate the side effects of some of these medications. Prevacid gave me major anxiety and Protonix gave me migraines so I am hesitant to start anything new. For now the Zegerid otc is helping quite a bit.

I was on it for about 6 months and it worked really well for me. Now that my wrap is intact again I am PPI free again. I didn't have any side effects on it myself, but everyone is different.

I used a month and a half or so and felt it gave me more gas (chest pain) that radiated into my back. It did keep my reflux at bay though. It is true there is a rebate program. If you can't find it online, drop me a message and I will post you one of the rebate cards from my sample pack. You might even call your Dr back and ask if he/she has any samples to give you to try. My Doctor felt so sorry for me she gave me a couple months of free samples and if it wasn't illegal I would send you three packs lol!
