You have to watch the sugar content of "fat free" goods - they often have a high sugar content.
I thought we were discussing "treats" - that for me is something definitely not daily, may be once or twice a week. Unless you are following a specific diet such as post surgical, weight reducing, diabetic, cholesterol reducing or trying the Kaufman diet, there is no reason to restrict foods with a high fat content which are only consumed occasionally, unless you know they provoke symptoms.
Also some people are better if their stomach empties quickly, in which case fat doesn't help. But for me, giving my stomach something to do for a couple of hours gives me far less symptoms than keeping it empty.
Sunbeam, on the Kaufman diet are you getting essential fatty acids, omega 3 and omega 6? You can answer me on the other thread if you like - have run out of time to start a new message now!!
