Hey all,
I rewarded by super hard work with one (ONE!!!!!!!!!) slice of pizza yesterday... thin crust, olives on top, still enough to light the fire. It wasn't even as good as I remember!
I hate that my symptoms always start the next day when I commit a GERD sin. I'm also pretty peeved that now I can't say I haven't had pizza for six months. Grrrrrrr! I do have to say that I realize now that any "symptoms" I've been having for the last few months are non-symptoms (extremely slight chest pressure, etc). I would take that over this any day.
Anywho, I had chest pressure/tightness today, nothing major, but it's been persisting long enough that I know my old nemesis, heartburn, is a-comin' and is gonna be visiting all night. It started at a 2 and has escalated to about
a 6/10.
I'm pretty disappointed. I have no idea if this puts me back at square one as far as the healing process goes or what. I'm still eagerly awaiting my gastroscopy and hoping that I get to see a GI doc and ask him/her some tough questions! Don't have a date yet, rest assured I'll post it when I get it. I thought that I'd been doing so well for so long that maybe I could get away with a trigger food - this is not the case. Sigh.
Sorry about
the rant, guys. Sometimes you just need to commiserate!
I hope everyone else is feeling well,
Ashley
