I figured anyone reading my posts so far won't mind reading more of what I have to say. Its been almost a week since switching up my meds a bit. nothing has changed still.
So here is some more information on whats been going on:
Since I was born (16 years ago) Ive had my acid reflux. As a baby I would (as my mom says) have projectile vomit (alot). In the years I can remember way back when, I would have "acid reflux" on and off, and this was just sometimes. I remember telling the school nurse when I was little that I had a bad taste in my mouth, which was followed by a small amount of vomit which never left my mouth therefore the nurse said it was only saliva (she probably was skeptical). Years later It has been getting worse and now is the point where it is I guess the word I could use is "unstable". Instead of acid reflux once or twice in several weeks-month it is several times a day. With this I get pains in my stomach, throat, and the left/lower side of my torso.
Now Ive gone to the doctor several times and the hospital once (to see a gastreologoist). The doctor has put me on once/twice a day ranitidine (I think that is how it is spelled). That has changed about a month ago to once a day omeprazole/prylosec, changed two weeks ago to twice a day of the same amount and now on a lessend dose of twice a day omeprazole/prylosec (due to bad headaches and anxiety attacks) plus a once a night dose of an antacid I cannot remember the name of at the moment. I am scheduled to have an endoscopy on this coming up february 1st/4th.
I cannot eat alot of certain foods otherwise not eat them at all. My teeth have become sensitive due to the years of somewhat deterioration (its not very noticable looking at them)
So that is my story of my condition. I hope anyone who reads gains something from this. I am going to continue to post more about it as I get closer to my endoscopy day and then posts about my results. Thank you for reading.
