If you are craving the taste of real food.. put what ever it is you want in a blender and puree it.. tastes the same just no chunks... I never could chew my food to the point that my stomach would accept it.. so I put it in a blender and added some broth.... voila!!!! taste with no lumps...
You can do this with almost anything you feel like eating.. once you can handle a bit thicker food.. back it down.. and don't add as much liquid.. then slowly begin the real soft foods...
Cooked cereal will do about
the same as grits.. I had to wait on oatmeal but the cream of wheat and cream of rice etc...
Good luck and please listen to your body when it tells you what to do, it will tell you what it likes and what it doesn't. Also remember that we all heal differently.. go at your own pace...
