MT,
I have heard some of the reports from your area and am so sorry to hear you have been without power for so long. I talked with my son yesterday and he had told me of Yaquina River flooding in Toledo, OR as he worked at GP Paper Mill there for many years until he moved to Vancouver, Washington just over a year ago.
Being from the midwest we have been hit with major blizzards however we have been lucky at our house as the longest the power has been out for us was about 10 hours. We also have the wood burning stove, and alway keep gallons of water as we too have a well. No power, no well. And of course the automatic garage door opener doesn't work but hey, who is going out in a storm like that.
I cannot imagine the devestation you must be feeling at the loss of your orchard. Sending only good vibes your way and please know I am here for you.
Denise,
Dang ole nasty colds can really knock you down and please do take care of yourself. I will send you a batch of my chicken soup for the soul. :) Glad to hear you are getting established with a new GI Dr. and yes, please do start a thread re your experience. I know we have many members asking questions on this very topic.
Ashley,
Hey there, your thanks is truly appreciated. Also your support in the forum yesterday was very wise and helpful to us. It is always difficult when conflict hits the forum and emotions start to run high. This is rare in the GERD forum but both Bill and I felt it needed to be controlled so we did our best and we were working together on how to diffuse the situation.
I would love to lay on that beach with you so remember to takes us along in your thoughts. ((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))
MMM, Hey there, I thank you for the compliment and want you to know that I am glad you kept right on posting yesterday and trying to bring things back to normal. I know I too was letting my emotions get caught up in what was being said and after reflection I went back and rephrased some of my comments as I realized I was getting caught up in the whole situation. I know I have a tendency sometimes to knee jerk and respond to quickly in my comments. My goal is to never cause any harm to any of the members.
When we respond impulsively, it is a natural and honest response. However, is it the smart thing to do? What can be resolved by doing so? I am back to thinking before I respond..........
That got a bit long, sorry.
Bill,
There is something wonderful about having a new baby in the family and I am so glad to hear your good news. You are now going to start wearing a new hat in the role of Grandpa. It is a special honor and blessing to be called Grandpa.
I pray all goes well and I always am glad to share re the joy of being a Gma so feel free to ask me anything.
Thanks for the teamwork yesterday. It made me feel good to know we were working together on the problem and I am honored to be your team mate in moderating this great forum.
To All of you, may your Sunday be special and know how much I support everyone.
Gentle Hugs,
Kitt
