Chaoticme, You may not actually need a pH meter. I can talk you through many common foods, and many are listed on the fiurst post of this thread and in Dr. Koufman's book. Fruits are a little acidic, so I eat them with a bread. Veggies are generally alkaline, I eat lots of them.
Hi Sunbeam, Thank you so much for your reply and welcome. I appreciate you help tremendously. I'm trying to balance a diet for gastritis and newly diagnosed osteoporosis! Below is my diet -
Alkaline/low acid fruits and veggies (learning them)
Romaine lettuce, grated carrots w/celery heart
Chamomile tea/Stevia in the Raw (no caffeine whatsoever)
Ultra low sodium/no processed foods
Alkaline/Low-acid fruit & veggies
Low fat, especially trying for NO trans fat
Fish, chicken, turkey (2 oz baked or broiled)
Egg white
Olive oil (virgin/cold press)
Oatmeal
Walnuts/almond (small amt)
Albacore tuna
Salmon
Tofu
Brown rice
Whole wheat bread (one slice daily due to sodium - am hypertensive)
Dry non-fat powdered milk
I hope this will sustain me in both directions. I plan on showing this to my PCP as he knows more about
diet than does my GI.
What do you think about
the diet?
Blessings, cme
