Hi Max,Did you have you appointments with specialists regarding your symptoms? Also, how's your search for a PCP coming? A good PCP can make sense of all the disparate viewpoints of the many specialists you're employing. Specialists can be great resources, but they see things from specific perspectives. You need a PCP to tie it all together and help you understand what's going on.

PS...40 days is too early to know how your Nissen recovery will be at 6 months or a year. There's no speeding up the time it takes to heal and for your GI tract to adjust to the changes. Time is the only answer, and you're just a little over the one month mark...which is at the infancy stage of recovery.
If your symptoms are caused by GERD they will be improved by the surgery. If they have another cause, then you'll have to pursue a different fix for them. Still, you need to give your surgery time to heal.
