Hello All,
I was suffering Acid Reflux for 4 years. I am now 17 and had the Nissen Fundoplication; 11 weeks ago.
Everything was going well, food got stuck in my food pipe for a while, but i eased off the diet and things are all working now :)

It's just some minor problems that i just wanted to ask if they're normal... Sometimes i get a slight belly ache every now and again but it does pass. Also lately i've started to get a gagging sensation back in my throat and i'm so scared that the Acid Reflux has returned.
Is it all post op symptoms or is the Reflux back?

Not really sure, but I know I get a gagging sensation when my reflux is bad. Hopefully it's not though. Try cutting down on sticky foods like meats and wheats. They could be getting stuck in your esophagus and leaving your valve open longer then it needs to be.

Since the esophagus is pretty short, if something is taking a while to pass through to stomach it can bring on the gag. I find sipping water and keeping my head level helps. Seems as though bending neck down or extending upward makes the gag worse. Doesn't usually last long, but such a yucky feeling!
