Full nissen wrap compared to a partial?

My full wrap I believed has failed and the doc that wants to do the redo had told me he isnt going to do a full wrap this time but a partial where I guess it is stiched to the esophagus. Did anyone have a partial done and if so how did that work out for you? He told me they don't do them often cause it takes more time. Im thinking the way its stitched that it cant slip this time. Welcome anyones input.

Sorry about needing a redo. I had a paraesophageal hiatal hernia fixed on April 30 with the my Doctor doing a toupet wrap. I have had no trouble with recovery. I'm will be 6 weeks on Monday. I didn't notice the peak swelling at two weeks like most nissen wrap people have. I didn't have the swallowing problems people talk of. I kept the amount of food small at first and now I am eating anything I want. It was so fun to eat two hotdogs the other day with no rolaids. I have no acid or heartburn at all. The partial wrap has been great for me . I haven't felt this good in years. Good luck Steve

I had the 270 degree wrap done 2 1/2 years ago. It's done well for me.

Thanks guys, I guess what Im worried about it him having to tear everything apart and starting over... he said sometimes but not all the time in redo's I guess your stomach can tear when its being taken apart and if he doesnt catch it and puts everything back together I guess you get reall sick so not looking forward to that part.
