I had an Endoscopy last week and my follow-up is 07/09. The doctor took biopies to check for infections. Do you think the office would call before my follow-up if the biopsies showed anything? I guess I hope that they show something fixable that they can treat. He did see signs of reflux while doing the endo, but I really want an answer ( that isn't awful!). I guess we all want that!

I would suspect if the biposy found something that could be treated right away you would hear from him otherwise he will share the report with you on the 9th of July.
The old "no news is good news" theory.
Be well,

im in the same boat just had an endoscopy done the report says grade c reflux esophagitis and z line irregular so they took biopsies. I get my follow up/test results on 7/5. I too am wondering if they find anything if they would call me sooner so I can get treated faster. Hope everything turns out well for you, your in my prayers.

Thanks for the input.. Spec260, Thanks for your good wishes. I definitely know how you feel and I hope they have answers for you too.
Skitt, I think your're right and I have mixed emotions. The EGD already found evidence of GERD, but I "almost" wish that the biopsy would also show something that they could fix. But, I am betting that there will still be questions. Sigh...
