Hi johner,Kitt is very wise in her recommendation that you call your surgeon's office. If you're suffering the way you are, you should not have to wait another month to be seen.
Often when post-Nissen patients have nausea their surgeons put them on PPIs for a while to settle down stomachs and wraps. Most of the time that's enough to get things calmed down so that healing can progress with more comfort.
I'm not sure what your surgeon told you regarding healing times, but around this forum we remind people that it takes a full six months most healing, and a year for the rest. I found improvements into the second year. While initial healing occurs sooner, it takes a long time for your GI tract to adjust and get comfortable with the changes.
Be sure that you continue to take small bites and chew your food to a liquid consistency. That way part of the digesting is done and it won't irritate your esophagus, wrap, or stomach.
Please let us know what your surgeon tells you. Push hard for an earlier follow-up appointment. They owe that to you.
Best wishes,
Denise
