Fundoplication has me apprehensive

Finally all my testing is done!! My surgery is set for next week. I am so anxious, nervous, you name it I have felt it. I just know it will be worth it in the end! Wish me luck!

Hi Everyone! I again just want to thank you all for the kind words of support. I am now 13 days post-op and I have been so lucky to have such a fantastic recovery. I was only hospitalized for 1 night where I had a bit of reaction to my pain meds. Since I have been home, I have only taken about 3 pain pills (only when I sneeze or cough!). I feel so great that sometimes I forget anything was done and feel like I can eat normal. I do remember very quickly when I eat too much or too fast. Other than that I feel great and I am actually looking forward to going back to week in 2 weeks! Again, thank you all so much, I don't know if I would have gone through the surgery if I hadn't found or posted on this forum.

Glad I found this thread. I'm going in for a NFP surgery on Holloween I wasn't too apprehensive until I found this forum. My surgeon hasn't talked much about diet or pain at this point. Did all the recommended tests and am deemed a good candidate for the proceedure.He did say liquids for three days then small well chewed meals as tolerated would be the drill. Hopefully more info after surgery. Not looking forward to a lengthy recovery as I have been active gym,cycling etc. thanks for all your input.
