Any Advice, Knowledge, Suggestions for Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR)?

Today I was diagnosed with LPR. My symptoms include headaches, sore throat, very tight chest feeling with restricted breathing, post nasal drip, throat clearing, excessive mucus secretion, and a tight throat feeling. Five weeks ago I had sinus surgery, sinuplasty, septoplasty, and turbinate reduction. I thought it was sinus problems and GERD, but now evidence points to LPR. My BBI (prilosec) was just upgraded to 40mg twice a day. I'm going to go to a pharmacy tomorrow and get some H2 blockers. I see my ENT in two weeks and I'm going to see a gastroenterologist in three weeks. All these medical problems have made me incredibly anxious and I'd really like to talk to others who have had experiences with LPR.

Thanks so much for your help and all of this information! I have been following a strict, ultra-bland diet that past three days and my lungs have healed a little bit. I plan on getting a sleep test as well as a pepsin test. I went to a general doctor yesterday who did a rapid strep test. Apparently I have strep... so I'm on antibiotics now. I don't think the doctor knows too much about LPR though. Do you have any thoughts about nerve damage to the vagus nerve?
