Petey,Good to see you here. I agree, the EGD is a walk in the park and the medications are awesome so no worries there. I have had two and I understand I bit the Dr. on my first one. Her fault for putting her fingers in my mouth. ツ
What you are feeling right now is fear of the unknown. People fear the unknown because it is just that, unknown. You don't know what to expect; it could be good or bad. Remember take a deep breath and try to find something to do to get your mind off of your anxieties and stresses. Take a walk, listen to some music, read the newspaper, watch TV, play on the computer or do an activity that will give you a fresh perspective on things. This will distract you from your current worries.
Don't google your symptoms as it will not change the outcome but only make you worry more with each scary article you find.
All the worrying in the world will not change anything. All you can do is to do your best each day, hope for the best, and when something does happen, take it in stride.
Kindly,
Kitt
